Damn, that's saying something because the new Silverado looks like trash.

I'm curious what they did with the L86 to produce more power with less torque? Maybe different cam specs, which the LT1 and L86 supposedly have the same exact cam and components just different intake manifold. Unless its cam timing changes or something? So I wonder if these means the LT1 will have different specs now?

lt1 has a different intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and intake.

l86 has seen gains of 25whp from just a CAI, so I believe their primary method of power reduction came from a restrictive intake

Very little if any gains going from l86 intake manifold to lt1. Would be cool if someone did some testing on the l86 intake to see if it actually makes more power than the lt1 intake. I mean they had a lot more clearance to work with when designing the l86 variant.

Our shop truck 2017 L86 Denali gained 26whp 13wtq by going to an LT1 intake manifold and another 23whp and 10wtq going from LT1 to MSD Atomic. Safe to say an L86 truck will gain 49whp 23wtq going straight to the MSD. Final numbers on our Denali were 471/468 FBO+MSD+E85.

wow, got any dyno graphs?

curious to see the powerband of each

Did you adapt the lt1 intake to the factory filter box? Valuable info on the truck forums. I recognize your handle and don't remember you ever posting about that.
