People that bring up QB rating, is proof you have no idea what you are talking about. In the era Marino played, only Montana and Young had better Rating. Elway, Kelly, aikman, moon, Cunningham, oh, and bob griese, all have less QB rating. So just please stop.

I wonder how much Cam Newton got paid to throw the game vs. ATL today? I've never seen a worse performance by him.

![]() Can't name 1 QB who could pass better? Marino had a 59.4% completion ratio for his career. Tied for 50th all time.Marino is 26th all time for touchdown/interception ratio. Marino was good, but saying he was the best to ever throw the ball is ridiculous.

I made the comparison that Matthew Stafford was on the same road Marino took, being a really good QB who won't win a SB. Their stats are very similar. The statement was also made that Marino is better than Brady, which is ridiculous. Brady's stats are better in every single rating category. I don't know why people hate Brady so much. I didn't like seeing him devour my team in the 4th quarter in the SB last year, but I have the common sense to realize that when it comes to QB's, Brady is the GOAT. I don't think any other QB could have done it, even with all of ATL's stupid play calls. Brady still had to play perfect to win the game. And he absolutely did, shattering several SB records. The guy is incredible. I wish ATL had him. No one said Marino wasn't good, but he's not even in the conversation when it comes to "best ever", unless your talking best to never win a super bowl, but he can't win that either. Fran Tarkenton has the lock on that one. Made it to 4, lost all 4.

I was a football fan my entire life and I actually played college football but today my family and ALL my friends could care less about the National Felon League.
We have better things to do on Sundays and Monday nights than watch a bunch of cry baby felon-criminals play a stupid game where you bash your brains to mush. Let them have it at for all I care. I think Mr. Massie said it best ...... |

Both years resulted in high yards/record year TD passing. However, the rule has not really changed regarding the illegal contact. Now, in the case of tackling, that is a different story...

The game has changed so much in the last 10 years. Today it's a different game. Add to that the very serious Concussion issue that will never go away, and no responsible parent will allow their son to play this game anymore. Add yet the criminal-thug-element playing the game today, zero respect for our Armed Forces and local Police that protect us all. No thanks. My family and friends have discovered new activities to do on Sundays and honestly I hope the league suffers and eventually folds because the owners and players underestimated the voice of the common man. And at the end of the day the league's game attendance is way down as is revenue. Again let them suffer for all I care.

Well, if it's all about personal stats to determine who the best QB's are, even as pertaining as to the best of the individual franchise, the stat of who achieved the ultimate goal is the stat that carries the most weight. Not about how many yards or touchdowns you put up against overmatched opponents. Is Matt Stafford the best QB the Lions ever had? He owns the record book. No, he may never, and probably will never be. Bobby Layne is the best Lions QB by a long shot. How manyQB's have lead their team to three consecutive NFL championships and won back to back championships? Not the 135 million dollar man. Bobby Layne did. Who helped their team to four championship title games in six years, winning three, Milt Plum started in 57, as Layne was injured in the regular season. Bobby Layne. It's amazing to me that some people want to stand on both sides of the argument of who's the best, even as it pertains to their favorite team. Is it a team game? If so , then team results carry more weight than the individual stat line.

Completion percentage? You realize that stat also relies on someone catching the football, right? What a pathetic argument. If you are using that, then you MUST believe chad Pennington is a better qb than Marino. Matt Ryan, Tony Romo, Andy Dalton, and many many more are better than Marino. LOL Looks like you are just a stats guy. Never even watched Marino play. Oh well. You still haven’t named a better PASSER. I know there are better overall QB’s. But when it comes to passing, you’ve never seen a QB throw like Marino.
