Mr. 86.4? He's not even the best QB of his franchise! Who was that Other Guy, you know, the guy that actually won SuperBowls? Bob something. I remember he had a couple good seasons in the early 70's. Bob,ahhh,Bob, errrrrahhhhh. His son won a share of the national championship in college. Bob................

And for the record, the only thing Marino doesn't own in a Dolphins uniform is a SB ring.... he holds every single record for that franchise worth holding otherwise... And I'm not even a Dolphins fan, but no one talks about really anyone for the Dolphins outside of Dan Marino or Don Shula....hell, even the people who root for the 72 Phins to finally get shutup, dont even know most of the players on that squad..

The 72 Dolphins didn't have Bob Griese in at quarterback for most of the season, only 5 games. Earl Morrall was the QB for 9 of the games.
They really didn't need a star QB because they had Larry Csonka and Mercury Morris who both rushed for over 1000 yards for the season. The offense was rated #1 for the 72 season. They also had the #1 defense in the NFL in 72. This is something you don't really see in the NFL anymore. Those punishing running backs who used to run over people. Though I never rooted for them (Houston Oilers), I always liked watching Earl Campbell run dragging 3 defensive players with him. Bo Jackson was the same way (Raiders). John Riggins (Redskins). There really is no debate about who is the best QB ever. Tom Brady (Mr. Clutch)

Brady is one of the best QB's I'll give you that, but he's not the greatest. He'd be about #6 on my list of QBs...

![]() The NFC has 4 teams that are guaranteed playoffs so far. 1) Eagles- Clinched #1 seed 2) Vikings- Current #2. They could drop as low as #5 with a loss to Chicago, Panthers win, Saints win, and Rams win. A loss to the Bears is highly unlikely. 3) Rams- With a win over the 49'ers they clinch this spot, a loss could send them to #4. They are guaranteed to host a wild card game either way. 4) Saints- They have clinched a playoff spot. A win over Tampa Bay secures this spot, and a home wild card game. They could move up a spot with Rams and Carolina losses. Worst spot is #5 seed. 5) Carolina Panthers- They can't finish any worse then the spot they are in, but could move all the way to #2 with a win and Saints/Rams/Vikings losing, due to their regular season win over the Vikings. If the Saints win, they cannot move ahead of them, as the Saints won both regular season games against Carolina. 6) Falcons or Seahawks- ATL is in with a win, as they defeated SEA in the regular season. They are also in if both teams lose. SEA needs a win and an ATL loss. The AFC has 4 teams guaranteed in as well, but 4 teams competing for the last 2 spots. 1) Patriots- They secure #1 with a win over the Jets. A loss by both the Steelers and Pats would still give the Pats the #1 seed due to their regular season win over the Steelers. 2) Steelers- They cannot finish any worse than this spot. 3)Jaguars- They have secured this spot, by virtue of winning their division, and having 1 more win then KC, and are 9-2 in their conference. 4)Chiefs- They have secured this spot by virtue of winning their division. 5)Ravens- Need a win to get in. They are also in with a loss if the Titans or Buffalo loses as well. 6)Titans- Need a win to get in. They are in with a loss if both the Bills and Chargers lose. 7) Bills- They need a win and a Ravens loss. They also get in with a win and Titans/Chargers both losing. 8) Chargers- They need a win, and a Ravens win with a Titans loss. They are also in with a win and losses by Titans/Bills.

Brady is a system QB. If Marino had the Pats owner, team and coach; Marino would have 10 rings today. Brady is average at best. |

The facts are Brady has 5 superbowl wins. Marino 0. Marino for 17 years- 61,361 yards, average 3609 yards/season TD-420 INT-252 overall career rating 86.4 Brady for 17 years(still has rest of this season to finish)- 65,969 yards, 3880 avg/yards season, TD-486, INT-160, career rating 97.6 Brady has 25 wins in the playoffs in 34 starts. Marino 8 wins in 18 starts. Tom Brady has more playoff wins in his career (25) than all but six NFL franchises do in their existence. Brady is "average" when compared to Marino? The fact's are Brady's stats for the same amount of years played beat Marino's in every single category.

Just because you can throw the ball far, doesn’t mean you are a good or great QB. Yes, I’m a fins fan, but I am not bias. You can’t name one other QB who could pass the ball better. Are there better overall QB’s? Sure, that’s debatable. Like Peyton Manning. I think he’s one of the greatest. Montana, has a great supporting cast, but he was still great. We could go on. But comparing stats between an era of football from 20-30 years ago is ridiculous.

If crap QB’s didn’t win SB’s, then I could see the argument about Marino having none. Winning the SB is obviously a team achievement. If Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer are better than Marino, then ok, you got me...
