Wink

i only got to drive the SE V6 with the auto and you would think that only 250hp is not enough to move a car that weighs about 2 tons but i was suprsed! it snapped my head back when i goosed the gas and i was doing freeway speeds very quick. but if i had a choice i would get the mid level R/T with the smaller hemi it has 380hp and 400lb of torque. but If i had a CHOICE and the money I would get the Camaro

I must admit i was wrong about the Challenger. I complained about the average performance of the R/T and i said the car itself was already old compared to the '10 Mustang and Camaro.....................and then i saw one in person.....crap.
The car is simply breathtaking up close, where the Camaro or Mustang are modern takes on retro, this car is as close to owning classic Muscle car styling with all modern conviences as one will ever get. It just has such a presence you don't get from newer cars,it's quite sinister looking. I saw a black R/T and a SE,but that black R/T.....holy crap, was it awesome looking,i can honestly say that this car is back in the mix of future car choices in my future.

.99g's? im taking credit for pointing out those g sensors dont work. that pretty much proves it.
Those sensors will always give higher values than skidpad #'s because skidpad is average, sensors are instantaneous. So you can have a spike of nearly 1g but it will be impossible to hold. However, I'm sure that the calibration of those sensors are also a little generous as well

If my new camaro has as much power as the SRT8 I'll be very pleased. I rode in one not too long ago and it was pretty sweet. A little out of my price range.

It's a good car, but I don't believe the numbers. While I usually like getting company-sourced information about cars, I don't like company-sourced reviews.

I gotta say, as much as I am a GM guy and want to buy a new camaro SS when they come out, this car has got ahold of my attention. It's simply beautiful, and as GM biased as I am, it does have some impressive performance numbers.

Although, I went to a local dodge dealership and found out they weren't supposed to get SRT8 manuals for 2 years which is the only one I would get. I also walked by a limited edition orange/gray striped challenger SRT8 automatic and it had a sticker price of 51,000, which is crazy.

Plus, there is the issue with mopars like the inablity to program the ECM, which is a big turnoff.

If you're on the edge...I suggest very strongly that you wait to decide until the Camaro is actually released and at your local dealer. I promise you that price, performance, style, and quality will blow you away!
