Terrible situation all around with the soldier & tragedy in Afghanistan. No doubt there is a "rest of the story" that we may never fully understand. Prayers for all sides.

For the time being, my thoughts and prayers are focused on his family.

Sure you all have heard by now of the neighborhood watch shooting going on here. Tensions keep rising and afraid violence is just around the corner. You can't even turn on the TV.

Well, John Henry Browne is arguably the best criminal defense attorney on the West coast. If there's a way to get him out of these charges, Browne will do it. In 2 of the last 3 high-profile cases he was on, the death penalty was on the table. Both defendants did end up in prison, but not on death row.
While this guy is already being tried in the media, he IS innocent until proven guilty. Only time will tell.

You know, I get this feeling that a whole bunch of violence is just lurking under the table, waiting for some moment or excuse to come to the surface and break loose.....there are soooo many angry, pissed off people in the country now, the friction between liberals and conservatives, racists just overflowing with hatred for Obama, lots of looney rejects from the gene pool out there.

Kind of like the angriness of the 60s but with a much more violent slant due to the increased size of the population and proliferation of handguns.

Scary times.......

Okay. The mood has been getting a little overcast around here lately. And as I live in the Pacific Northwest, I've got plenty of clouds already. So it's time to get silly!Name: greensmilies-008.gif
