He makes a valid point. A flare was shot up on this site every month that the Camaro outsold the Mustang. What seems to be conveniently forgotten is the 7 years of Mustang sales that there was no Camaro. That's a lot of catching up to do. For a car that was gone for 7 years, you would think that it would outsell the Mustang by a bigger margin than it is. If the roles were reversed, I'd bet that Mustang sales would kill Camaro sales.

Considering the economy, I think the margin is quite fair

Said they have taken some weight off, have a hotter tune, slicks over radials, and some more suspension work.

Just got back from the track, i am very happy to say the least. Right off the freeway into the staging lanes after tech the first pass i did a 12.85 @ 114.8 Did a little cool down and dropped to 12.80 @115.171 with no cool down right back to the staging lanes it blasted to a 12.73@115.59 i was so surprised for a auto to be this fast and consistent. I did 8 passes all ranging from 12.88 to the 12.73.
This is 100% stock with 400 miles on the clock and stock tires at 35psi launching on idle with the traction control on. The best part was seeing the driver of the New Camaro ss with his newly installed long tubes drop his jaw at the times while his best was a 13.09 @ 110

The weather honestly was perfect mid 70s couldn't of asked for better. All the runs where with 2.0 60 foots so im thinking these auto 5.0s with a nice stall and sticky tires with gears should be low 12s high 11s easy stock motor

I learned that this track's timers are off as much as 2 MPH from a couple of sources that frequent the track and know the owners... Still - that's impressive!

I welcome members with all other makes, but it posts from these individuals are only regarding their specific cars or to only support their cars, that's a little different story. I respect almost all of the 'Stang/Cobra guys and like reading their posts because they oftentimes have a lot of information about those cars. You know what they say about the enemy j/k... but seriously

Saw that on their facebook page .. really want to see what all was done though and how much weight taken out .. that MPH is killer if they didn't really do any internal work on the engine!

Yeah i just read about it on SVTP, DAMN!! That is very, very impressive! respect to the 5.0 ...

The mod list of evolution's 5.0 is not very clear till now, i think this is because they have a contract or something with 5.0 magazine (or another magazine- im not sure) not to reveal info about the car till next month's issue comes out. Can't wait till we get the exact mod list!
