I thought the ICE's primary purpose is to power the onboard generator to recharge the battery when it runs low while simultaneously powering the electric motors directly. in addition to the regenerative breaking.
guess not.... they should offer a tune to allow it.
even if it is 1/6 of the cost to recharge by plug-in vs gas
