It works like this: You provide, we buy. Your government is handing out healthcare and social programs, so they tax the hell out of your gas to pay for it all. Same thing in Europe. Hell, in Europe they tax the DISPLACEMENT of the engine in your car. (SHHH...it will be on our continent soon) This is the key: They tax YOU because they can. If the people paying the taxes ever wake up, Egypt and Libya's uprisings will be just the start.
