Here’s a pretty good primer describing the technical aspects of the C7 Corvette Stingray’s LT1 V8 engine, by Automotive Engineering International. Provides good technical info without getting too bogged down in esoteric engineering speak.

In a laughable statement recently made by the head of the Audi Quattro division, Franciscus Van Meel, made the remark that the performance of the new C7 Corvette will be “no match for an RS6.”
Granted, the RS6 does pump out 560hp/516lb-ft, but comparing a large station wagon costing £77,000 (about $124,000 USD) to a sleek sports car that will cost half of that is just comical.

Until now, the only views we’ve had at a Laguna Blue Tintcoat and Black Corvette Stingray C7 has been GM’s official renders.
But now, courtesy of a few guys who happened to be out in the AZ desert, we’ve got the first real life looks at a Black and Laguna Tuna Tintcoat Corvette C7. Check out the short video and photos of these Stingrays INSIDE.

The auction for the first production 2014 Corvette Stingray took place last night at Barrett-Jackson and it was auctioned for a cool $1.1M (all proceeds going to charity).
Who was the winner? It comes as no surprise that it was none other than Mr. Rick Hendrick, who also won the first production 5th generation Camaro back in 2009.
Check out the auction video and some photos from the Stingray auction last night INSIDE.
