The next generation Z06 (rumored to be called the Z07) has been spotted!
In light of GM’s ever-more-stringent fuel-economy obligations, some are expecting the Z07 to produce 600 horsepower from significantly less than 6.2 liters of displacement.

Callaway will be introducing a supercharger package for the C7 Corvette Stingray, and it won’t be all go and no show.
They have just previewed this – their custom hood treatment for the C7.

Beginning a few days ago, C7 Corvettes have started rolling off the assembly line at Chevy’s Bowling Green, KY plant, with the very first C7 bound for Rick Hendrick.

In developing the C7 Corvette Stingray, GM had considered stop-start technology, but nixed the idea, deciding it would hurt the car’s image. But, that doesn’t mean that we won’t see start-stop technology in the C7 at some point (read the entire report).
Asked if it is inevitable that stop-start technology may be standard on a future Corvette Stingray, Juechter said “it may be.” “But is that something we lead in (with the redesigned car),” he mused. “Or is that something we do when we are forced to do? It is possible.”

The Corvette C7.R race car made a surprise appearance between races at the Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races in Laguna Seca raceway this past Saturday. It ran two hot laps before disappearing into an awaiting trailer.
