CTC-V (because I refuse to call it a CTS-V Coupe)

Looks like the press embargo just got lifted.

It's all in good fun, though as we like a car that bites back. The engine and exhaust noise emitted under hard acceleration further stimulates the thrill of full-throttle thrust, especially since there's a split second in which you only hear the roar of the 6.2-liter LSA V8 before the supercharger finishes spooling. Just as you start to take in the grumble from that fierce piece of all-American aluminum muscle, the supercharger's whine takes over; the two noises playing together in symphonic harmony.
Now, I can't be the only one that substitutes "CTS-V Coupe" for "Z28" ...

That said, the CTC-V comes with 285's out back and weighs over 4200 lbs. I can only guess what about another inch of rubber and 200 lbs less weight would do.

Oh, and one last thing ... do any of you think the rear wheel and tire could be about 1" bigger overall in the back? The gigantic rear quarter panel seems to make the rear wheel look smaller than the front.

Plus the Z-28 would have more of a sport-oriented suspension than the V.

I don't see how the Z-28 could be that much lighter. The SS comes in just under 3900 lbs.

How do you figure the CTS-V doesn't have a sport-oriented suspension?

Got up close and personal with the CTS-V (coupe') at the Goodwood festival of speed in the UK last week.

Drop it about 1.5" and put 20" wheels on and it will look cool. Also it needs more exhaust noise.

V-series = High-performance powertrain and sport-tuned suspension...
