2009 Cobalt SS or . . . ?

I have a bit of a problem. I'm looking to buy a car until I can afford the SS that I want. I was thinking something used, maybe a cavalier/cobalt or grand am, possibly a neon. Then I heard about a brand new 2009 Cobalt SS at a dealership for 25% off sticker. Its tempting because that markdown is the same as depreciation for the Neon SRT-4's over the last 4 years or so. So I'm thinking I won't lose a whole lot on that car if I buy it and trade it in when I get my Camaro.

I only have till the end of the month. Unless it gets sold by then.

If you've got the $$$ to do it, then I'd say go for it! There's been nothing but good things said about the new Cobalt SS, and that is quite a deal!

I drive 500 miles a week, or more. I'm looking at $120 in gas every week if I buy a truck. The cobalt would be almost half that. Plus there is the resale value.

The other problem is half an hour of traffic (average) + manual transmission. Is it the nightmare that I think it is?

Yeah it sucks but its not so bad that you want to kill yourself haha but if you love the fact of having a manual get it anyways it will over weight the nightmare of traffic. The good thing about my jeep when i got in traffic i would drop the transfer case into 4 wheel low and have to rearly shift just crawl in 1st gear. Loved it.

cobalt SS is manual only, and it doesn't really matter because this particular one is a car on the lot.

If you're looking at more than a couple of years, the Cobalt SS isn't a bad option. I wonder why it is so much off sticker, though. That price tag screams lemon.

Dealership blowout. Every new car is 25% off.

i was thinking the same thing. But where i'm at its only $1500 off sticker. Both of my cars wouldn't start today and i'm tired of fixing them everytime they break down.
