What's wrong with some people on C5!

Listen up,

SINCE WHEN IS TINTING WINDOWS OR ADDING STICKERS CONSIDERED A MOD!!!!

To me, adding mods is doing stuff to make your car faster, handle better or somehow add performance to the car. Whether it be a CAI, tune, catback, cam, headers, super charger, turbo, suspension work or whatever.

I see people in their signatures stating their mods as "tinted windows", "blacked out tail light lenses", "chrome SS emblems" or other things in that realm. This is ridiculous. These are not "mods" they are cosmetic, aesthetic and visual items that fall under the heading of "customization."

I cringe everytime I see someone list adding their transformers logo as a mod. Real gear heads laugh at this nonsense. It is actually embarrassing to see.

So, to avoid being laughed at by people on the Mustang or Chally sites please change your signatures to list your stickers and emblems as customized this or that and not a mod.

Leave mods as stuff that improves your cars performance.

Seems like your really upset about it. I think mod or modification is something that you modify, so if you remove your side marker and put in a clear one, you have modified that piece. Same as you removing the Intake and Putting another in its place, or KB or Turbo or Black Taillights etc. Just an opinion of course.

Modding is anything you do to change your car from stock. Cosmetic or performance.
Putting it in your sig is a great thing to do. Another member can see it and may want to do it for their car. It's a good way to share ideas with other members. I have no problem with it at all.

Just because you have a problem with it doesn't mean others do, I agree with BackinBlackSS, a mod is anything that makes the car different from the next, whether it be cosmetic or performance.

Too Many haters on this forum.

modification

noun 1 the action of modifying. 2 a change made. Synonyms: alteration, change, variation.

This does not limit the term to "performance" mods.
Get off the high horse you self-proclaimed gear head, and find something worth complaining about. A sad representative.

Just an FYI, mod is short for modification. Modification means to change. So if I tint my windows and black out my tails then I have changed the look from stock which is a modification or "mod".

Logical thinking goes a long way. I also did it hilarious when some one gets pissed off about something on the Internet they have no control over and then rant on Internet forums thinking try will make a difference in some ones opinion.
