National/Regional Events List

I have been noticing multiple posts, repeat spams, and posts on-top of irrelevant posts regarding invitationals, car-shows, and notifications of Formal Events throughout the country. Be they racing, formal Regional gatherings or National Sponsorship Events, they require specific information that everyone can collectively refer to without routinely referring to various subsections of other Regional Forums. We could miss something really close by and not even know it.

This should be a New Forum title, possibly under the Main or General Section or something equivelant in collection of what is posted on the Calendar at the bottom of the Main Forum page. I see the intent of the "What's Going On" Section at the bottom of the Main Forums page, but I do not feel it is getting the attention it deserves or should... Is it possible to have the "What is Going On" section scripted to auto-populate the newly created Forum I am referring to?

If someone were to see an entire Forum Folder on "National/Regional Events and Invitationals," there could be additional sub-regions similiar to the Regional Forums, to collect information. Once the event has taken place you could move it to an archived folder under that header. That way, people don't continue to see the same events that have already passed. Past events are only reviewed if someone is looking for a specific picture, so there is no need to keep it on the Main Page of this new Forum Folder. An Archive Folder under this Forum Page would keep the house clean and tidy and people would know exactlly where to go to for that specific event. Right now, we are trying to remember who posted it, or just outright searching for it - which normally works well. But if that information were isolated as a specific Regional Event, we could find it much much easier.

The problem is obvious multiple advertisements/posts into various sub-threads which inevitably are lost in the bumping-thread process. By having its own Forum Folder, the collection of information and organization factor alone could prove as beneficial as the Camaro5Fest Folder.

Last requirement for this new Forum Folder would require moderation equivelant to the Commercial Vendor Classified section. Since the publications of said events would be considered money makers in the advertisers eye, Camaro5 Members should know where to refer to for official information.

Who knows, maybe the mods could collect revenue accordingly.

Hope I didn't ramble to much, or miss a similiarly creative idea that is no redundant.
