What is it with women...

more specifically, my wife.

First, it was the shoes; has to have a pair for damn near every different outfit, sometime to buy them only to either wear them once or not at all b/c they don't prefectly match the outfit she thought they would match.

Then, it was the purses; pretty much same deal. I have bought her several myself as gifts and then after a few months, they go the closet to only be used once in a blue moon. When asked, she says, "I used it too much" or "I am just rotating" or something similar.

Now, it a case for her iPhone. She is looking at them online and just sent me an email with about 12 links to different ones. She has had four in the last 3 weeks b/c they don't look right or feel right or fit right or whatever.

UGH!!!!

Then I catch hell for wanting to buy a spring/sway kit. I get, why do you need that, what is wrong with what is on there now, why so much, etc. So, then I tally up her shoe/purse/cell phone case purchases over the last few months, and say its the same cost but I will ALWAYS use mine and get great benefit from it and never tire of it. Of course, I catch more hell for that.

Nope. She is still using the "its too much all at once" argument. Then I remind her about the Coach purse in the closet she had to have one X-mas that I haven't seen her use in months which was $400+ and, more hassling ensues.

Tally up her cost and match it in aftermarket Camaro parts.

Buy yourself the suspension kit.

Buy her some matching luggage.

Ask which one she wants to use

That's horrible :( ....if it were me i would'nt even ask i'd just go ahead and buy it, and the whole "its too much at once" is money spent here and there or at one time is still money spent. good luck and hope everything goes well for you

Exactly. Show her just how much her dumb little habits are costing, and show her how little your upgrades will be in comparison. And show her that they'll actually get USED unlike her shoes and purses....

just saw this after i posted... sounds like you got some issues to iron out. either way, it's gotta be made clear that you aren't going to pay for her shoe/purse shopping habits anymore. What a waste of money....

careful that you dont dig yourself deeper in that hole. My wife is the same way. Just this weekend she spent over $500 on clothing and other stuff while she was out of town visiting her parents. I spent $37.21 on a new distributor cap for my 78 camaro and caught all sorts of hell about it.

its just one of those things about women.

quick question tho, are you present when she is buying the purses and shoes?
