Police Sticky Thread

So I am wondering if the MODS could sticky this thread on police issues.

It seems a lot lately that I log in and see at least 1 thread that turns to cop bashing. Today it was 3 threads that may start out innocent enough, but quickly turns to cop bashing.

If people want to talk about their incidents, in a respectful tone, that's fine.

So instead of creating a new thread everytime a member gets a ticket, why doesn't everyone just post them here? That way we can contain all the cop bashing to one thread.

I just got a ticket for doing 65 on a 60. Erectile dysfunction, bad marriage, control issues, you name it. This is 99% of my experiences with cops.

Too many sticky threads, and they stop mattering. Besides, who really needs quick and easy navigation to cop-bashing? Like comparisons to mustangs or arguments about auto vs manual, they're just something that's going to keep happening as a natural part of a Camaro forum.

What the hell... you're not supposed to say that! Completely makes your post less fun to know that you're an officer!!! Party pooper :(

most forums have a "donut shop" type forum area for police questions. they should just open one up IMO.

Cop bashing is more popular in the winter.

This isn't my first message board.

No one really dislikes cops, just the iffy ones that spoil the whole batch in the general public eye.

And that public eye hold cops to a higher standard then regular people, even though cops are people too, we expect more.

And then when they do turn out to be just regular folks with flaws we hold there heals closer to the fire of public opinion.

Though the worse perception come when they try to cover up to protect their own. Toledo just had a bunch get caught with pot in their system and 2 for drunk driving while on duty and because they are cops they get a easy pass though the system with no official reports filed on paper for the DUI, till the local paper found out, then the police union goes to bat for them as in these tough time lots of folks turn to drugs n alcohol, its not big deal.

Where regular folks don't see it as that and they think they should get it worse then regular folks as if anyone should know better its cops.
And why can't I get a pass like that on a DUI?

But again cops are people too. With all those human flaws.

Though glad for the dozens of good ones I have been privileged to run into on the open road of life.

Your gonna just hafta suck it up when it comes to folks ranting about cops, untill 100% of them are 110% squeaky clean, which mean they won't be human anymore. RoboCop
