Procharger Installation

I just got my dyno sheet after having a few performance upgrades installed by Stenod Performance in Troy, Michigan. They did a great job on the install and delivered my car to me on completion in an enclosed truck! Joe installed a Procharger with a D-1 upgrade. There has been a good deal of discussion between the various types of power adders. Joe, at Stenod, and I discussed the various options including a Magnacharger, Whipple, Kenne Bell, Vortech, & Procharger. I had a Kenne Bell on an earlier car and liked a lot, but the Procharger was my choice. Any other mods to the car void the Magnacharger warrenty. In addition, it and the others were much more expensive than the Procharger. Joe also installed the skip shift eliminator and a 160 degree thermostat. I've only put about 18 miles on it since I got my Camaro back. The winter here in Metro Detroit has had its share of road salt. I can't wait for Spring

What does the skip shift eliminator do? How does it work without getting into the technical lingo?

It disables the 1-4 shift activation. I have to ask, why install this as your car obviously needed to be tuned? You can tune the skip shift out in the pcm.

Some people may not want to mess around with the computer when there is a simple plug and play 'fix'. May not necessarily be the reason in this case.

Probably because there is a warranty with the Procharger that would be voided if you did any additional mods. IE:Tune, Headers, Exhaust, Etc.
