Awesome metal bands not too many know about...
You know, there are a LOT of badass metal bands out there that aren't as popular as they should be. Why that is, i have no idea, but lets start bringing them out! Start naming off some of your favorites.

It has to do a lot with marketing, exposure, management, and demographic taste. There is a band out of Australia that has some very talented musicians, spot on tempos, incredible mixing with impeccable execution of timing yet the sound was a bit eclectic despite the extreme high quality content. That kept them from going mainstream but oddly enough that was not their goal.

Elvenking Blind Guardian Kataklysm Scar Symmetry Pyramaze Winds Falconer Orphaned Land Battlelore Catamenia Eluvietie Arsis Axxis The Agonist Serenity Avantasia Sabaton All good stuff you should sample. If you are a true metal fan, you already know about lots of these bands. Who cares if the general public does not know about them. Consider this: when metal bands go mainstream, they lose their edge and change their sound (and become CRAP). Just look at Metallica as the classic example. |

I'm much more into new metal and Punk, but some of these "metalheads" are pretty good too

Ill nino is so damn good (exept last album). 36 crazyfists rule. Slipknot for sure. Hatebreed's good.
More new metal you have also Pleymo.
