Very impressive and cool. To me, they would be so much more cooler if a tad slower and manuals.

I wish these cars were attainable by normal humans, lol. Great video though. Those guys are great.

Agreed although these 3 cars and the C8 Z06 I think I'd still have fun in even without a manual.

I agree they would still be fun even without a manual and the Corvette is the most attainable for normal humans out of the three.

That should put the debate to rest. The GTD is what it is, but it is NOT in the same league as the ZR1. If I were considering buying a GTD, I’d withdraw the $400k from my investment account, buy the ZR1 plus an Escalade ESV plus a trailer to tow the ZR1 to the track. Factor in that the GTD is only marginally available after a long waiting time once you’re approved to purchase. Kudos Team Chevrolet for knocking it outta the park.

Awesome job by Jason, Randy and the whole Hagerty team on a great same driver / same track / same day comparo with over-the-top production quality.

Gotta be honest…saying I don’t want a C8 Z06 or ZR1 because it doesn’t offer a manual would be like kicking Halle Berry out of bed because she farted.

If you would have said Holly Robinson, I would agree

Thumbs up

I was expecting that the ZR1 (and the upcoming ZR1X) to perform way better. Of course the 992 GT3RS is a perfect driving machine and don't doubt that there would be a 992 GT2RS in the near future. The Mustang GTD is a very expensive dissapointment that is not able to compete with the ZR1, and it cost the double.

Exactly. The GTD is a phenomenal accomplishment. But in the light of the existence of the ZR1, the value of that accomplishment is seriously diminished. As awesome as it is, you can get so much MORE for so much LESS.

The only thing the GTD might have versus the ZR1 and GT3 is it may offer a more raw driving experience which I can see some people preferring. Regardless people with ZR1/GT3RS/GTD money are just going to buy which one they personally like more, not which one has the superior lap performance as I doubt these will be tracked very much.

Usually at track days, I see one GT3 and 1 or 2 Z06’s. I bet there will be less ZR1’s at the track than Z06’s.
