They even double charge you for black lugs in the package AND black lugs with locks for another $350.

Course that seems to be pretty common, a LOT of RS packages also get different wheels on top of the RS wheels

The sad thing is that someone will pay the price of this ZL1. What really brings the price up is the Collector Edition option.

Yep, and you still pay the $15,000 for CE package and do not get the fancy wing

That wing alone is $5K out of the $15K, so vert buyers are taken for an extra rough ride...

I doubt you would get it for $103K. Regardless everyone's financial situation is different. Some could never afford that car in a lifetime, and for others they could write a cheque for it, park it in the garage and forget about it.

Sadly someone will pay it, or close to it.

I wanted a ZL1 convertible, but it's that kind of dealer bullshi* that pushed me towards a different car. I was ready to pay MSRP, and was ready to go. Everyone wanted more. Greedy sh*tbags.

The dealer I ordered my ZL1 through, and didn't get, has one for $98,580 plus 20K.

Crazy shyte for sure, I have seen several ZL1's come up locally here lately for at or very near 100k and they weren't even the Collectors Edition. Will they get it?? Maybe, maybe not but you can be sure they will get something well over MSRP from someone that just has to have one of the last ones. And if they hold out as the inventory dwindles, the final purchase price can only go up.

As someone that spent 39 years and 9 months in a Chevrolet/Cadillac store I am not surprised one bit however. When we got our first SSR, someone paid us 20k over MSRP for the "privilege" of owning it. Personally, early this summer when I set out to try and land my ZL1, I "made the rounds" here and quickly tired of the games and found myself a "new" used 2021 ZL1 with 65 miles on it and it was built exactly as the car I was trying to order. 5 months later it still smells like a new car inside and I spent over 10k less than I would have paid at MSRP for the one I had spec'd out. Low mile cars are certainly out there, especially if you are willing to travel some to get it. If you just "have" to have the Special Edition, or one of the "last" ones, you are gonna pay. Some will, some won't, I wouldn't.

If you guys know the markup or number of a CE car, swing by the ZL1 Panther CE VIN and Car # Thread and let us know

Highest official markup for the ZL1 CE we have is $60k, unofficially I remember seeing a car marked up $100k (reaching $200k total) but unfortunately can’t remember or find it again

If I were buying it, I would absolutely demand the wing.... because it's part of the CE package. I don't care if it wasn't installed.... it's supposed to come with it.

And I'd sell it lol

As stated before that $15k for the CE package is asinine.

Quote:
  • Camaro Collector Edition exterior badge, steering wheel badge and logo on floor mats and spoiler stripe
  • Panther Black Metallic Tintcoat exterior color on LT, LT1, SS
  • Panther Black Matte exterior color on ZL1
  • Black center stripe (Satin finish on LT1, SS; Metallic finish on ZL1)
  • 20" 5-split spoke forged aluminum wheels (Black or Polished) on LT, LT1, SS
  • Black lug nuts on Black wheels
  • Silver Camaro logo wheel center caps on Polished wheels
  • Sueded microfiber-wrapped, flat-bottom steering wheel on LT, LT1, SS (standard on ZL1)
    LT also includes:
  • Black lower grille with Gloss Black inserts
  • Carbon Flash Metallic front splitter
  • Sport rear spoiler (Coupe)
  • Satin Black outside mirrors
It's almost like you're paying twice for the paint job (in the original MSRP and then again in the CE edition, they should discount it from the MSRP if its a special paint)

That's ridiculous, most of that adds no functionality to the car whatsoever.
