It's on its way!
After procrastinating over the last year or so on ordering my ZL1, I finally earlier in the year realized it was now or never and started "trying" to order my car. No joy to be found however and I soon realized that the odds of either of my orders being picked up were slim to none and while I could wait and hope to get a 24, I'm not getting any younger and am also not known for being all that patient when I decide I want to do something.
So, I started looking on line again for something still under warranty with low miles...Back in early March I had seen a 2021 that was set up exactly as I was trying to order one that had a whopping "65" miles on it and while it certainly caught my interest at the time, I was still dedicated to getting the "new" one at that point. 3 weeks ago I looked and sure enough, it was still available. So I grabbed a flight to check it out, signed zee papers and today it left it's old home to take a 1500 mile ride to its new one. The truck will also pick up my very cherry current ride, a 2015 2SS that I have traded in. Everything should happen Thursday afternoon and I'm like a kid those last few days before Christmas. In the meantime over the last couple of weeks I have been going through all of the ZL1 threads here and "learning the ropes" so to speak of owning the car. A MAJOR tip of the hat to all who contribute here as not only has it been a great form of entertainment to help me pass the time while I waited, I have learned a ton as well and have even taken advantage of some of the "connections" listed on the board. As a result, I have a nice pile of "must haves" sitting in the garage awaiting the arrival of my new ride. I have been very active over the years on a couple of motorcycle boards and have been very impressed with both the general decorum here as well as the willingness of the members to share their accumulated wisdom. I am quite proud to finally be able to join the club. 😎 |

Thank you, and you are probably right although at the time, the SS just sorta happened along and the rest as they say, was history but it has been in the plans for some time to turn that into the Z. That time has now come.

Great story, it’s funny how so many of us buyers in the last few months have similar stories. Procrastination to ok it’s now or never. Congratulations on your new toy!

Thanks for the welcome and it made it safe and sound today. Got 40 miles on it before the weather had other ideas. I know I am not telling anyone here anything, but this car is absolutely the bomb.
