FI Interchiller installed

Finally got around to finishing my FI Interchiller setup. Can’t wait till summer now to really rest it out. It is not a plug and play kit. There is a lot of extras that need to be bought, from lines to fittings, wiring, relays. The fitment from the premade lines from FI could be better. As some of the liquid lines could be longer. Making it harder to zip tie into a good fitting place.

Did you remove the other cooling mods in your signature (afco, prospeed tank, meth, etc.)? I've been toying with the interchiller idea but have been working on other things.

Definitely one of the best mods for these cars, I just have been apprehensive because I know it’s not plug in play. And every mod I have installed I have the original OEM part and new seal/ gasket to restore, but this mod makes that pretty much impossible. I am sure you will enjoy driving at 80degrees and the car responding likes it’s 45..

The only thing i removed is the afco and replaced it with the factory hx. You need a hx tank with a chiller, FI recommended the tank from dedicated motorsports as it hold 2 gallons. My meth is more for fueling and less for cooling. I plumbed in a thermostat valve to control flow between the chiller and hx so i don't have to run chiller all the time if i don't have to. Pretty cool valve from pnp tech works.

There is nothing in this kit that you have to cut up. so you can keep every stock part you want. You're right about driving with ait's down in the 30-40 dregee range.

Interesting, it’s been a while since I talked with them but when I did years ago they recommended removing my HX all together and just running the chiller. They claimed running the HX would just increase the temp of the chilled water, he referred to it as a giant heat sink..

He mentioned that he put a valve in so I think he can run both the chiller and HX at separate times. Smart.

He told me the same thing. I just didn’t want to run it all the time. It’s a street car so i wanted to keep the HX.

Correct mark. It’s a pretty cool valve. I have it plumbed like this.

Having to run all the time is one reason I never considered doing this. What valve exactly is it? Do you have a p/n?

Ok, I thought it was bypassing the chiller. Seems it's supplementing the cooling when ECT is over 100* then when it cools, the interchiller will do all the work.

When temps get below 95 it completely shuts down the Hx side.

Badass. Welcome to all year boost weather!

I have a killer chiller on my car and it's the best performance mod I put on it.
