6L90 HP capacity
I'm swapping in a 6L90 out of a 13 CTSV while I'm building the new motor. Who hear is using a 6L90 and what if any internal upgrades have you done? My goal is 750+ rwhp and 1000 hp in the future. I'm looking at the Circle D level 4 kit.

The 6l90 is a very stout trans if tuned correctly, mine held up to almost 850whp with quiet a bit of abuse. I did finally have it gone through but it wasnt actually giving me any trouble when I pulled it, I just didnt want any issues during the season as I was going to turn the car up quiet a bit.

I've pushed mine up to 1100RWHP and 200mph runs(airport) with a bone stock 6L90.
It does have a Circle D triple disk converter ( locked at WOT). Been running it like that for 4 seasons now. no issues. My buddie's CTS-V makes 850-880 RWHP all day long and it's also bone stock w/ the factory converter.

Man these things are stout. Makes me question if I need to upgrade it with the Circle D stage 3 kit I've been looking at. I just want to do it now since it's not in the car yet and not worry about the transmission in the future.
