Rear suspension/brake noise under hard full stop
Well this might not be an issue but I think it is. I haven't driven the car for over 2 months.. just installed new high wing, and new tires. Car was about 2 wks on jack stands waiting for the wheels to get powder coated and tires mounted and me to make tire.
Yesterday i completed everything, i cleaned the caliper with wheel cleaner. Put it all together.. went for a drive. Everything seems normal. However, with no music, if i come to a full stop and stomp on the brake, the car will rock forward then back. When I goes back there is a noise coming from the rear tire area. Is that normal? Sounds like the shocks compressing. I never realized this noise before. If i come to an stop without stomping the brake, there is no noise whatsoever.. I realized this was an issue because I was driving in a street with lots stop signs and i would come to the full stop hard.. Is the noise normal? Can someone else try and see if there is noise? Any help would be appreciated. I drove the car about 200 miles with highway, city and canyon runs. There is no noise whatsoever any other time, no less braking capabilities.. should I even worried?

Seems like you should pull the rear tires off and start checking all the fasteners, including ones you didn't touch, if they are accessible.

Fasteners? Like where thought i didn't thought anything other than the lug nuts...
Anyone think this could be the calipers? I would think it it was the suspension i would have noises while driving too

Sorry, mine isn't doing it even after hard stops I never had the car sitting on a lift or jack stands for weeks either, not sure if that may be the cause.

May be dumb questions… but is your battery tied down tight? Is there anything loose in the trunk? Did you wash away the pad backing plate lube when cleaning the caliper? Loose caliper? Other than those items, could be a a lot of things. Loose or binding suspension components seem most likely.

No dumb question. I did check the trunk for loose stuff. I am leaning towards maybe the lube on the pads is gone and they are moving/creating friction against the pins or the metal guide? Someone in the SS side is having similar issues after upgrading to the Brembo brakes.
