whos driven a g8?

i test drove a G8GT yesterday with an auto stick. i prefer a manual but this car was nice. real nice! a bargain imo for what its sticker is. that heavy car doesnt feel heavy at all and gets right out from a stop. nice ride, very comfortable and very nice interior. it made my GTO feel ancient. it probably isnt as fast but thats not a big deal.

for those that have one or have driven one what was your impression?

I test drove a G8GT a couple months ago. for a four door it handles great. I really liked it, that's why it's one of my fall backs if the Camaro gets priced out of range.

i imagine this will be a nicer car and be priced higher than a comparably equipped camaro. a GXP version is going to be an animal but yet have a nice ride in addition to better handling and braking.

these cars are priced to sell.

I love the look inside and out of the G8, it's priced pretty good, but read a thread I'm about to post for more...

I own one and love it every time I'm in it. The G8 is in my opinion the best American car on the road right now.

I test drove one, but it was a base model w/cheap seats and a v6, the next week the same dealer got in a fully loaded GT, and i test drove it. Loved it, much better than the base model, more comfortable, and Damn fast.. fastest four door i have ever driven, thats for sure.

COOL. I looked at the G8 GT last week and liked the fit and finish along with the nice interior, but I didn't drive it. Very high quality IMO.

I own one. I too wanted a stick, so when the GXP version comes out later this year I will trade my GT in. I previously owned a 2001 Firebird Formula. The backseats were useless in the Formula, and I suspect it will be the same in the Camaro.

The GT is tuned for 87 octane from the factory. When it is tuned to run on premium gas, many owners are getting an increase of 35 RWHP, which puts its number near the automatic V8 Camaro.

This is the reason I think the dream of a camaro is dead for me.

:o(

So, what type of fuel economy are you seeing?

I dont think so... if you have ever been in the back seat of a GTO those seats are comfortable!!

not the crap in the back of the rustangs, but sport buckets. and as long as your not a big person, you'll fit!
