Door gap difference?

I noticed on my drivers side it seems there’s a gap near the lower part of the door and above the side skirt more so than the passenger side. Has anyone else had this issue and found a fix? Possibly just a door adjustment in how much it’s pulled inwards when closed?

It’s about maybe a half inch difference

Crazy enough I just noticed this on my 19 ZL1 earlier today. It's one of those things you don't really notice unless you're really critical of the car, but it's one of the things I accept because it's a Chevy. I have a couple of other small gaps all over, but I can't be arsed to fix. I'll be following in case you do find one.

I feel like the door is a little farther out than the other if you line up the rubber just under the windows on both sides you’ll see. But yes my drivers side rear quarter has a decent size gap too apparently there’s a zip tie method for that lol sad on a $100k car

I had to do a double take on that price until I realized you're in Canada. I picked mine up new for $52k, so I'm a bit more accepting. But I know exactly what you mean. The most gnawing issue for me right now is a dash rattle I have.

My 2017 ZL1 doors on both sides have a gap too!

I’m glad I’m not the only one! Haha, but sad how much more effort and pride is put into the corvettes build just because of the name..

Very true and I remember my 2016 2SS doors were that way and the gap was worse than my ZL1.

Just tried it on my SS 1LE. The driver side door gap pinches my index finger a little more but that's it, so not a huge difference between sides.

It's not just Chevy, the fit and finish on all cars made in America are gonna be a bit worse than cars made in Japan and probably Germany.

I used to have a 08 Honda Accord Coupe V6, and there was a pretty noticeable difference between the hood gap difference on both sides. No accidents on file, so it's not from some shoddy body shop work. Even the newer ones still have this issue.

Before you say "but it's a Honda Accord", the MSRP difference between a 2.0T Accord and 2.0T Camaro isn't that large and both cars are manufactured in the US, and even a ZL1 ultimate shares the same body as a 1LS Camaro, so the door gap issues can really occur on any trims.

My RX-8's fit and finish was much better than my Accord's and it was made in Japan. My Camaro's fit and finish is just fine... so far.

*Laughs in Targa top rattles*

Yeah, Corvettes have their own fit and finish issues. The grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Yes!!! It's honestly the only thing bothering me. I'm usually listening to music to drown it out, but on bumpy roads it's definitely noticeable.

Yeah I usually get annoyed and back the dash and it goes away temporarily lmao. Not sure of a permanent fix yet

The driver's door on mine is similar, I also have the dash rattle............Funny that these are in several cars. I thought mine was a one off as it was built right after the strike.
Anyway, I chose not to take to the dealer because I didn't want a portion of the car repainted. BUT if you find an adjustment that can be made, please share!
