Road Trip Thread
I know that we use our ZL1's for a variety of things. One of the things that I use mine for is Road Trips. I have done 3 in my ~14 months of ownership.
First was CamaroFest in 2018. Lafayette, LA to Bowling Green and further to Maker's Mark Distillery. Second was Lafayette, LA to Bentonville, AR (Chrystal Bridges' Museum), Pig's Trail and Eureka Springs, AR. I grew up a bit further north in the Ozark Mountains and still love the area. Third was a trip home. Lafayette, LA to Lake of the Ozarks (Roach, MO), a little dancing through Arkansas. Taking a bit of time to drive on Rte 66 on my way to St. Louis. Pompeii exhibit and a Cards game (Cards lost but won the night cap of the double header). This trip was about family and friends. Seeing my brother is a treat. Seeing Tommy, a friend for 60 years (kindergarten together) is always a special moment. Next Up: October to Fredericksburg, TX. I owe myself another shot at the Enchanted Rocks. I also need at least 2-3 more days of study in the Fleet Admiral Nimitz WWII Museum of the Pacific. The 2 days I had 4 years ago were not enough. _________________________________________________ Please post some past and future Road Trips.

My car basically only does road trips to race events. Bought new in August 2017 in Michigan and drove it home to NJ.
10 days later drove to Nebraska for Solo Nationals. 2018 it did: One Lap of America Optima DriveAutoX in Peru, Indiana VIR 2019 Nelson Ledges One Lap of America 2019 It's scheduled to be towed for the first time to go to CAM East in Peru, Indiana. When it comes back, I'll drive it to NCM for a two day HPDE, and then again in September back to NCM. I love this car.

I went from Albuquerque to Ouray and Silverton with my fiancee last summer. I think this car is a fantastic Grand Tourer. I'm especially liking my car now that I have Michelin PS-4's on it. They really transform the car into an excellent road car. Looking forward to more road trips this summer.

We took it down to VA/TN/NC for Memorial Day weekend. Over 1,300 miles we got 29 MPG. The car was very comfortable and performed great on all kinds of roads, including US 421 in TN aka The Snake.
Looking forward to the Camarofest road trip next month!
