Aftermarket Lug Nuts
Need some advise/suggestions on Gorilla Lug Nuts. I want to replace the chrome ones on the car "don't like chrome", with black. So I sent an email to Gorilla asking which ones would work on the car. They told me 66148 are recommended. I have a set of M14x1.50 lugs, which look similar to 66148 in the pics. So I was comparing those to what is on the car and I have to admit, the M14s look ridiculously small compared to the OEM ones. Has anyone purchased Gorilla Lugs and which ones did you get. Info on any other aftermarkets besides Gorilla is fine as well. I am trying to match what is on the car now, but black. Thanks in advance, Tony

Get ColorLugs. They cover OE lugs and only cost ~$25 for the set.

These are the ones I use, they are easier to clean around them.

McGard is the best but pricey. They have a wheel install kit with splined lugs + locks.

Not sure how this bodes for black ones, but I have Gorilla plated lugs on my truck and they corroded badly.

On the ZL Addon website they list two lengths for Ti lug nuts, 42mm and 67mm which one do I get?

I'm not going to argue the point any more than this post, but Ti lugnuts are ridiculous for a road car, they may gall and seize to your studs and then you get to choose whether to destroy your wheel or hub to remove them.
Also, Alibaba has them for about half the price of ZL1 Addons and I'd bet they are the exact same thing. You just have to look for a vendor who will sell 20 pcs. If you want decent lugs and locks just get McGard. |
