TSP-VV2 Cam w/blower??

Sorry in advance if I have directed this to the wrong area.

I am curious if anyone has installed an aggressive or semi aggressive cam and also installed a supercharger?

I know that a cam designed for forced induction is ideal, but I have a Texas Speed VVT-2 cam waiting to be installed, and I was hoping a blower down the line was feasible. I haven't had much luck finding anything researching on my own online, so any help is appreciated!

FWIW I'll be installing kooks long tubes and catless borla exhaust as well.

Same, I plan on installing a procharger with my VVT3 cam from TSP in December or early January, I guess I’ll find out then

IMO, there are only two "traditional" blower cams. i.e. cams with long exhaust duration, short or shorter intake duration and 116 to 120 lobes, maybe and usually no documented the cam is advanced 2 to 4 degrees also. That being the Lingenfelter small blower cam and the stock LT4 cam. The other mfg AFAIK have only very slight variances to no variances in their stage 1 to 2 cams and their blower cams, BTR for example and even though TxSpeed has custom cut blower cams, AFAIK most people just run whatever is on the shelf.

In short, yes your VVT-2 will still work fine with a supercharger.

I have it in my Procharged Camaro, it works fine. Not optimal, but it does work and it does make great power.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Charlie540i, would you mind sharing what else you have installed? Any idea of the numbers you are putting down with the upgrades as well?

My car is not a good example as the cam is really small for the rest of the combo. But here it goes, 416, PRC Heads, VVT2 Cam, Procharger F194-A, sheetmetal intake manifold, Kooks 2.0" headers, full Borla Exhaust, LT4 fuel system and some other drivetrain upgrades irrelevant to power.

With that it did 750whp with 13psi on 93 pump gas on my Mustang Dyno which "reads" -15-17% that many of the local Dynojets. This was a customer's car and this is why it had that small cam, that little boost and even the stock torque converter.

The cam is small of for the engine, right now I'm waiting for my Pray custom cam to add a smaller pulley and then see what it does.

Seen a couple of more things on my to do list there, thanks for sharing that with me. Gives an idea of a ball park expectation at the very least!
