motorcycle/race communication equipment

Ok I asked this on a bike forum and didn't get too much help. probably won't get it on here either but lets just see.

I am looking for a good bluetooth/radio communication setup. I ride with about 4 other bikes on and off. I figure it would be good to have radios or bluetooth for the bikes. The bluetooth equpiment I found only works between 3 helmets. but streams music and phone calls.

I'm looking for a setup that I can listen to my mp3 player, talk to more then 3 helmets and maybe get my phone calls on. does anyone know of a setup that I can do all that with?

scala q2 is out because of the number of helmets. I don't know too much about chatterbox. any help is greatly appreciated. thank you.

I use Chatterbox on mine & my girlfriend's full-faced helmets. I also think everyone in our club uses them also. They are very good and now have a Bluetooth option as well. You can do all you are looking for with them. They have external inputs for MP3s & cell phones. If you get Bluetooth, that can connect to your cell.

They are very easy to add to any helmet also...

You can check them out here: http://www.chatterboxusa.com/

Good luck!

I'm liking the x1 bluetooth setup but the price is the killer. I'll pay it along with buying the wife one but the other people in the group probably won't. I'm going to assume if they get some family radios and get mic's they can have the setup cheaper but won't have bluetooth which I'm sure they don't care to have.

thanks for the input.

btw currently 2009 concours 14 for a DR. and the wife rides a vstar 650.

My girlfriend's ride is the VStar 650

You ALL don't need the Bluetooth models. You can talk to the other Chatterboxes as well - just verify when you're buying them. We don't have the Bluetooth models - just the GMRS - better range.

Good luck!

my wife had to have hers lowered to just be able to stand flat footed. lol. got to love shot women.

I'll probably wait til I'm back in the states to buy. but generally speaking the FRS/GMRS radios transmitt on the same freqs so they should work. but you never know. be my luck I buy some that transmitt on some odd freqs.
