I assume a non drag radial...

Toyo R888
Toyo R888R

Some will say they're noisy, some will say they don't mind. Those are my first initial thoughts, Nitto has some good non drag options as well.

I use Toyo R888's myself so I can attest to how good they are, plus the new R888R just came out, so that may be something to look into.

Nitto NT05's are another good option to look into for a good R-Compound.
Michelin Sport Cup 2's, which is what Z07 package gets you if you buy a C7, those are probably the best tires you can find around, but they're not cheap.

For my current set up the Nitto 555r's have been working just fine . I'm also planing on being in the mid 700's in the next month or two . My current set up is Procharger DSC1 and meth with bolt ons and I'm at 650/540 to the wheels . I drive with the tire pressure at 30psi for the rear wheels (TSW Nurburgring) when I move higher in power I'm thinking of getting a drag set up and driving with them daily , but will try out my current set up first to see how it feels .
PS: I'm close by you and will like to check your car out if you don't mind , I have a few questions for you. Send me a Dm if you wouldn't mind meeting up .

I'm not meaning to be rude, but really the answer is nothing.

Let me explain. My Mustang made about 700 to the tire with a PD blower. Instant torque. I had Conti DW that worked well for everyday drving, great in the wet, but once you nailed the throttle, it went every way but straight.

Drag radials are your friend.

Tires

The NT 05 R are working for me. I chose the 305/35/19's. No more Goodyear or mpss slip and slide on turns and hard pulls. Little heat in em and they hook solid. 700 whp on the street on a non awd you have to be realistic though. I had an 87 turbo regal with a notched frame 325/50/15 Mickey Thompson drag radials that hooked but at 30+ psi around 700 wheel horsepower the tires took a beating when doing spirited driving.

I’m trying to stick with the stock 1le size. What do think about running a nt05 in the back and nt555 g2 in the front?

I think it sounds like a good idea.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I've been running MT Street SS in back all summer at 25-27psi for DD with a pair of MPSS up front on my ZL1 sized Forgelines. Car hooks no problem and handles good enough on the highway, but I miss taking it down twisty farm roads.

I've been seriously considering going with Sport Cup 2's. I know that i won't be able to hook up at WOT in 1st, but I'm not entirely sure what else to expect. I don't drive in the rain so I'm not concerned about that. I'm really just looking for the best handling tire that will hook at my power level. I'd rather not make an expensive mistake if I can avoid it - but I'm also not afraid to pay for performance. Will I be able to hook up in 2nd and not break traction on the street with SC2's, or am I stuck with DR's?

go with some firestone firehawks. With that much power, youre gonna be burning through tires like gas. Might as well get some inexpensive, quality performance tires

The only viable options that I know of once you go above 600rw are SC2's and Pirelli Torfeo R's. Maybe R888R's or NT01's, but now we're talking lower-end value tires. I need an R compound tire that's not a DR that can handle 700rwhp - and with a positive displacement blower. Everything I've read about R888's and NT01's in the C7 world is that you'll spin above 600rw. We're a little heavier and hook better so I'm hoping SC2's will work but haven't run into anyone with a gen6 putting down 700rw+ to tell me what it's like.

I don't put a lot of miles on my car so I'm not really worried about tread life...forget about rain. Everyone told me that I'd get less than 3k miles out of my Mickey's, but I've put at least twice as many miles as that on them on the street and still not showing any cords. If I have to go back to DR's, they'd be my choice again.

This is a strange thread. Guys, look at what the OEM tires are for cars that are that powerful.

Bugatti Chiron and Koenigsegg Agera RS both use Michelin Pilot Cup 2's. Ferrari LaFerrari and McLaren P1 both use the Pirelli PZero Corsa, but the P1 also has Trofeo R's as an option. The P1's rear Trofeo R's are 305/30-20, just like the ZL1 and SS 1LE.

Should put some perspective on it.
