I just couldn't wait.....
For the new Camaro, so I went and bought my dream car. I've wanted one of these for over 15 years, and I'm finally in a position to do it. I'll hit the bank this morning and pick it up after work (can you say longest day EVER!!). I may still end up in a Camaro in a couple years, we'll see.
Here's a small breakdown of the specs. It does need very minor body work (no holes or rust) and fresh paint. Those are way down on my list of things that are important though. Engine - 454 (believed to be 468 now), Solid Roller, Jomar girdle, 990 Heads, Edlebrock Endurashine RPM, Holley 850 DP, Hedman Elite Headers, Holley Blue Electric, BG regulator - all Braided fuel line. Transmission - TKO-600 RAM clutch McLeod Bellhousing - all brand new. Suspension - Front - all new bushings, SC&C front upper A Arms, Eibach Springs, Koni 3 way adjustable shocks, stock sway bar. Rear - UMI upper adjustable and boxed lower control arms, Rear end narrowed 3 inches, big Ford ends, moser stud girdle. Brakes - Touring Classics Hybrid C4 Corvette disc kit, New mater, all new stainless brake lines - hard and braided. EBrake works! Interior - Recaro Seats, Covan dash with Autometer Cobalt gauges - electronic speedo, tach, fuel level, oil pressure, temp, amp. New carpet, decent panels. Here are the only other pics I have atm |

that looks badass =)
I'm wondering, with todays new technology, as far as transmissions & engines go..do the old muscle cars get any better gas mileage with the new stuff installed, than they did with how they were back in the day, stock?. not that gas mileage would matter if you had such a beautiful restoration.. but I'm just wondering..

Very nice! My first "toy" was a 72 Chevelle. Man the memories. I would like to get another one someday.

as a former '69 Malibu owner, one of my weaknesses is old Chevelles
congrats on the new ride and if you ever go to sell it, put me in line... I love the upgrades that have been done to the car and by the time you ever get around to selling it, I'll have a nice little place to store it
