New from Maryland

I don't have a Camaro, and not yet sure it's the car for me, but I keep coming back to considering it for my next car. Currently i have a BMW 128i that replaced a C6 back in 2010. The 128i has been great, i'm starting to do more track days with it (so far 7hrs on the track). But, i'm looking ahead to another car to join my 128i.

I'm really impressed with what has been said about the 1le packaged Camaros, they really seem to be something you drive out of the box to the track (maybe except adding camber plates?). The v6 1le has grabbed my attention more for it's value. Have to say, i can't help thinking about the v8 with bmw m3 performance at $42-45k?. But also a little afraid of being one of the v8 guys i'm now passing on the track because they're afraid of really opening up their cars performance.

Anyway, i'm mostly here to browse, but maybe i'll have more to say in the future!

Welcome to the site!

In my opinion, I think you should opt for the SS 1LE. I think most who decide against the v8 start to regret it later on. If you wanna drive at v6 power in a v8, you can. If you wanna drive at v8 power in a v6, you cant

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

That's true, but $10k buys you a lot of trackdays, tires, pads, rotors!

And then i step back and think big NA engines aren't going to be around forever, and i should get one while i can!
