My Advice: Get the H1N1 Vaccine!

Why would I know? Because I just got back from a week in the Hospital in quarantine because I got H1N1, which lead to pnemonia too!
What was it like?
You know when you stop really hard and the seat belt tenses on your chest and your breath is taken. It is like that all the time! it is aweful. It took less than 18 hours to go from what I thought was a minor cold to the ER.
I am 32 Slightly overweight but do play football and golf and softball so don't think I am sloth-like. Good Vitals and a former smoker. Well this took me down like a ton of bricks!
All I can say is get the vaccine cause another reason is that my scripts alone ran over 200$ and that is with a good Insurance program! ALL 8!!! OF THEM!

I agree, get the regular flu vaccine at the same time since that season will be just around the corner!

Well I am happy that you're well enough to tell this story.
I was always going to get that shot, because I have asthma.
Still waiting though, we don't get it up here until almost November.
My kids will also get it.
Thanks for the heads up.
Glad you're alright now!

Glad to hear you are feeling better! One comment though. Everyone on this site researches in depth what they do to their car. You should to the same for your body. Read both sides, not just what the mass media is feeding you because it sells newspapers. You can find the other side to the story at web sites such as www.mercola.com or the National Vaccine Information Center at www.nvic.org. I am not telling anyone what to do. Read and make your own decission. Just make an informed one.

Glad to hear you made it through.

I must say though, irony of all this is, at least to me....more people die every year from the regular flu than "H1N1"......but which is getting the press?

This is odd. I've been diagnosed with it twice and both times I was over it in 2-3 days. It felt like a bad cold but didn't stop me from working around the house.

A friend of mine went to the doctor Friday and was told he has it, he was cleared today to go back to work tomorrow (Monday).

My neighbor's 8 year old son was diagnosed with it Wednesday. Today he went to church and was outside playing with one of his friends. He's going back to school tomorrow.

For all the media hype the H1N1 is getting, it is nothing like people are making it out to be. The regular flu is much worse then the H1N1 and personally I'll take it over the regular flu anyday.

Even worse is 90 some thousand people die a year from just going to the hospitial. Its the infections they catch once there, that kills them, not from the reason they are there.

The CDC is working on it? Even hospitial works don't wash their hands, least of all stoner steve who just took a dump n then cooked your whooper, ewwwwwwwww
