I'm no expert but a drop like that seems a bit much. The further you go the more you change the original suspension geometry and more stress you put on the factory shocks. Someone else can probably give a better/more thorough explanation. If you want to lower that much you'd probably be better off with coil-overs.

That's a fairly deep drop. 1.25" is about it, unless you're doing some wheel/tire change too.

That's a very deep drop - If you have a Squared Set-up or ZL1 Wheels, I think you will rub.
