Dyno came back with surprising results

Okay guys i got my car tuned on a dyno yesterday and the numbers seem a bit high.

My mods are Borla S-type Catback, Kooks 1-7/8" Headers, and Cold Air Inductions CAI. And obviously the Dyno Tune.

My Hp was 459 and my Tq was 427. That was a lot higher than i was expecting, because everyone else with similar mods was in the 410 to 420 range.

So what im really asking is if my numbers could be wrong? could they be right? I dont know a lot about cars so this is all new to me. Any insight is appreciated!

They are wrong. Sorry.

Do you know what gear they used? Should have been 4th.

Dynos are a tuning tool. Dyno "numbers" are not representative of the car's performance.

Well, they do mean something. They're representative of what improvements in capability that the modifications gave to the car. People like to be able to put measurements on things and dyno's absolutely do that. You now know what your money got you in terms of available power levels and a measureable performance increase. The car is now capable of performing better as long as the driver can use it.

Yes

Because people want to do an internet dick measuring contest, that doesn't mean anything because there is no standard ruler and everyones ruler is different.

What was the baseline numbers? That would explain everything.

Take it to the 1/4 and see what it traps. That'll give you a good idea of how you boss against other bolt on cars.

If it traps more than 110-111, you're doing good.

So if 110-111 is good, then what about my 115? How does that compare with me being a cheap ass and using budget parts, used parts and a canned tune?
