Ford Shelby GT500 spied

Alright, whats everyone's thoughts on this?

Personally, a twin turbo coyote or voodoo sounds pretty awesome. and its fits into the whole "ecoboost" thing that ford is trying to do.

It sounds great! Competition obviously breeds success; however, the prices of these vehicles are quickly becoming outrageous. A new 2016 Camaro SS will run you ~50k. The new ZL1 will undoubtedly be ~$70k. Nuts...just plain nuts!

1. Deja vu coming as fanbois will be claiming the entire Mustang line is faster than the Camaro due to a six+ figure limited production car.

2. It looks and sounds like a Mustang

It seems like Mustangs retain their value longer than Camaros.

Not sure what this has to do with the OP...but it is actually quite the opposite.

+1 Once traded, the prices of Mustangs tank like a stone. Search them on Autotrader.com or Cars.com. They're a dime a dozen.

50K for an SS? Hrm. I only paid 38 for mine. Other members here are getting discounts and getting theirs for mid 30s.

So try again??

Oh wait...YOU MEAN 50K for a completely load 2SS with every option checked plus other accessory options added to it such as the 6 pot brakes and then buying the car at MSRP with zero discount.

Gotcha.

I agree with you, but remember that most buy off the lot, and Chevy dealers (to be fair, all dealers do this) have a habit of checking every box when they buy dealer stock.

The cheapest SS that the dealer nearest to me has is listed for $46,170, and the prices steadily go up to a couple 2SS convertibles listed for $56k.

That kind of sticker shock will make irrational impulse buyers a lot smarter all of a sudden.

It also doesn't take very much to get to an SS over $45k. Want leather or safety equipment? 2SS it is, which starts at $42,900 for 2017 model year. If you add an A8 and NPP, you are over $45k. Add MRC and you've just eclipsed $47k.

Wow 750-800 and it can turn. Great times we live in.
I saw a GT350 the other day it was nice looking, the sound was conservative not a bad thing good for your neighbors.
I wouldn't of traded my ZL1 for it. When you start a ZL1 dogs run and whimper, babies cry, young man stand and stare, men get jealous, women panties cream.
