Trying to get rid of lease .. no luck =(

I've leased/financed cars back and forth for a couple years now and my last 2 vehicles were impala SS's. My current lease is a 2008 Impala SS (6/2008 delivery) on a 39 month lease. I was waiting for the new redesigned impala(at the time the rumor mill was saying 2012 so my lease was until 2011).. but then the camaro was finanlly out and then my mood changed. I've had my car on swapalease and lease trader. I had a friend who wanted the car but couldn't pass credit check and I am trying so hard to get rid of the car. I was even willing to pay the buyout on terms but only if they lowered it which I doubt. Its $8000 now, which I wouldn't do but maybe if they lowered it I would. Anyone have any ideas or experience with GMAC or dealers in general buying leases or lowering the buyout if they know you want to purchase a new vehicle?
