This and the other chally vids are of a lousy driver, we are talking LARGE RT numbers.. don't be fooled the chally is fast for its weight and will be a force to be reckoned with..

i was dissapointed with the challenger... but honestly, id blame the missmatch on driver error, and the GT being moded.

I think the challenger fell asleep at the light. I want to see a fair match-up before I make a judgement.

"woooo!!! very good!" lol... Mustang, like ya'll said, has a seasoned driver...and probably a mod or two. Chally driver MUST have fallen asleep. There's no way there was that big of a delay on purpose.

Both Challenger SRT-8s and Mustang GTs actually have similar reported 0-60 and quarter mile times due to the weight difference. Both have 0-60 in low 5's and only a .3 second difference in the quarter mile.

The mustang is definitely modded, but for the $17k price difference, the Challenger should be a LOT faster and not just a little.

Anything goes at the track unless there are strict class rules for competition. If modding is unfair, then what about the price difference or something else like displacement?

If this was a 4th gen Camaro or WS6 that just beat the Challenger....everyone would be saying "awesome, if a lighty modded 4th gen F-body can do this imagine what the 5th gen will do against the Challenger."

Your sig shows you running a 12.88 @ 109. You could beat a stock Challenger SRT-8 too. Wouldn't you be happy to line up against a new Challenger and beat him even though you are modded? Would you think you cheated because you have a CAI, lid, and some SLP exhaust mods?

Rock, you know the nature of the thread was talking about base comparisons of 2/3 of the new pony car rivals though, not just a random heads-up race.

Yeah you're right, I just didn't like the general comments of poor driver this and good driver that, when it is all just speculation anyway.

This is a crappy quality vid, and without timeslips we can't see R/Ts or 60' times to really assess driving quality.

Leaving out the Mustang all together, I would have like to see the ET and Trap speed from the Challenger at least ya know?

I'll dig them up rock, I do remember that the rt was well over 1 second.
