Tar Removal

I drove through tar somewhere and the tar removal product I tried did not work well. Any suggestions?

WD40 on a microfiber cloth works well for me.

Kerosene works well

Thanks folks for the tips. I ended up using WD40 since I had some on the shelf already. Did the job fast!
