Felling pretty okey-dokey.

Looks like I'm locked in for the new job at work. Staff QA Engineer. I had the interview yesterday and today, and had the verbal offer today; the new boss wants me to take the job, I was recommended by corporate, and I told him I want it, so when do I start. We spoke at length about how we are transitioning me from my current job to the new one, my new boss is talking to my present boss on Monday to get it started, I'm listing all the things I do that are actually other peoples' (and departments') jobs to make it easier.

Feeling OK on a Friday.

My job for the last seven years has in a nutshell been extremely frustrating and I am 'topped out' in that position re: money and promotion but I help make the people that make us all safe stay safe themselves, so it has all been worthwhile. I'll miss that feeling of accomplishment when I get the sincere 'thanks brother' from EOD tech cops, firemen, and servicemen and servicewomen. If there are any EOD guys or gals reading this, it's been my pleasure and my distinct privilege to have helped you.

That's awesome! I am hoping something similar happens for me. I am leaving active duty military after 10yrs and hoping the job I am going for in Fort Worth works out. Been offered jobs overseas but I am using that as a last resort. Always good to hear good news. Wish your future the best!

Than you! I think this job will actually be easier overall than my present position, too.
