Does ford sell a dealer installed upgrade pkg for the Eco boost Stang?

I thought I read someplace Ford sells a dealer installed tune or upgrade package for the Eco boost mustang. Is that true, if so how mush power is it good for?

Ask a ford forum.

So far there is only a rumor that Ford Racing will offer a tune that maintains the warranty.

Yep...as stated it has been said they may offer a tune in the future. If so, I think that's pretty sweet.

If GM did that, it would cut Camaro5 posts down to only about 2 or 3 new posts per day. All the ten million or so "will a tune void my warranty" questions would be eliminated.

I expect GM to do something like this for the 6th gen I4. They did with the Cobalt SS and Sky/Solstice with the same 2.0 Turbo Ecotec.

Best regards,

Yeah that's the first thing that came to mind when I read that. Wouldn't surprise me at all. Those GM tunes were quite potent as well.

They also used to offer stage kits for the supercharged version. Chevrolet Performance has been doing well so far when it comes to offerings. Hopefully, they can offer these things with prices competitive to the aftermarket.

The 2.0 Ecotec is a potent little engine in itself, GM just puts a really weak tune on them from the factory. We tune quite a few Cobalts, Solstices and Skys here and put down some pretty good power. Stock the Cobalts put down about 245/245. With nothing more than a tune, we see ~310 and 380 WTQ pretty easily and even more with bolt ons. I see the I4 Camaro being modded more than the V6.

Best regards,

Tyler

I was thinking the same thing with the 6th gen.
Outside the V8 I expect the turbo 4 have the most mod per dollar value.
