If you hate dashmats, don't enter this thread

Hopefully you've heeded the request of the thread name - if this group is anything like the vette group, dashmats are flame topics. I'm going to buy a dash cover for my new ZL1. I'm too lazy to keep folding and unfolding the window sun visor and our summers are like living in the desert.

I "think" I've decided on a suede dashmat as it seems the suede would match better with the current zl1 interior. They have black and smoke. Curious if anyone has one, and if they have any comment as to which color looks less obtrusive. Or have another mat they like that sits relatively flat, and doesn't come down past the top of the dash.

Thanks for any help.

I'd be interested in what a suede dashmat looked like...

Just make sure you get a quality one. I had bought one for my old cavalier that I bought used, with a giant crack in the dash near the windshield. I bought one off eBay and the quality wasn't that good.

I "think" I'm going to get http://www.autoanything.com/dash-mats/60A4600A0A0.aspx, Dash Designs Suede Dash Cover, brushed, black. I saw a pick of the same cover in Sedona (the other suede option) on a camaro and it fit flat not falling over the dash front and looked fine, but I didn't like the little holes of the sedona so I'm choosing the alternate.
