New '15 Camaro SS 1LE owner from SE Louisiana

Hellow gentlemen and women, I'm a young and pretty much new to the muscle car scene (as for as ownership). The closest thing I have had to a sports car before was a hand-me-down (by my older brother) '94 Mazda MX-6 in an automatic. So yeah, I'm definitely fresh meat, but have always been since about 14 (I'm a day from 27 years old), a muscle car fanatic. I've just never been able to afford one, until now.

I've purchased a '15 Camaro SS 1LE (2SS) with all the premium options except for the race-bucket seats they offered. It is bright yellow. I've always believed (in my opinion) a Camaro or Corvette just fits best with yellow.

It is late late-night, and I just wanted to introduce my self, my name is Seth. I am also going to be looking for a little advice as I don't plan to keep this SS stock, by any means. Any help in the future would be much appreciated.

I'm still waiting on the order of the Camaro, but it shouldn't be too long now (4-8 weeks at the most). I am very excited to own something so wonderful, and will treat it with respect and also respect the rules of the road as well. I'm looking forward to getting to know or learn from the experts I know that exist here.

With all that said, it nice to meet you all. I hope to get to know more Camaro owners more intimately as my time goes on in this forum. Such a beautiful car.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome to the 1LE family. I also live in Baton Rouge and agree with your color choice. I have only seen 1 1LE and that was on I-12 a few months ago. I'll be looking for you!

Welcome, you are going to love this car.

Just quick suggestion read up on here about a few of the accidents this car is very safe (seen few cars you would swear someone was badly hurt and they walk away unharmed) but very powerful. Synopsis would be most of them are caused by cold weather driving on summer only tires (1LE has extreme summer only tires that are slick under 60 degrees and very slick under 40), or driving in rain or snow on summer only tires or even driving on all season tires with under 40 % tread left. A 1LE especially on its OE tires has drastic difference in its traction with temperature fluctuation. 90 degrees out they feel like they are glued onto the road at 30 degrees out you can just let the clutch out with enough throttle not to stall and you here traction control kicking in to keep the wheels from spinning.
