Paint defect just noticed
I've had my car since January. If I just noticed a paint error that's obviously been there the whole time, will they fix it under warranty or something?

You didn't specify what the paint error was. If it's due to wear and tear, then no. But if it's a manufacturer problem then most likely they will fix it under warranty.
My dealer noticed a small paint problem that I didn't really care about, and insisted to fix it and took it to a collision center to have them repair the paint job there. I'm pretty sure he billed a ton for it, but it was all covered under the warranty. Take it to your dealer and see what he says. He'll probably fix it under warranty. |

You'll stand a better chance of having your dealer fix the defect if the defect is not in the slip stream of the car (frontal area, etc) because typically these dealerships will want to blame the paint defect problem on road debris that flew up and hit the car after you drove off the lot. But if it shows as a true defect and not a ding or scratch, they should handle it for you. Good luck.
