I never said Hi !
Hi !
Well, I read a little while, posted in a few threads - but should introduce myself. My third Camaro - the first two both being Z28's, but from my youth and second youth. Had a 1980 Z new - but sold it to fund a marriage. All things considered I should have kept the car. Bought another 1980 Z back in 2000 to play with. Ended up stripping lots out, doing the engine and having fun. Having put too many commuting miles on a Cobalt lately, I decided a Camaro was needed. A better and more fun ride certainly. I commute about 800 KM a week. Add a couple hundred a week for pleasure and life - and a better car was going to put a smile on my face. I hit the dealership 2 days after the stop sales order - so couldn't even test drive one. That didn't matter as I was going to buy a Camaro regardless. The problem was they weren't even transporting them from dealer to dealer at the time (I was told) and had no idea when a key would be available. I still ordered the black basic they had. Two weeks of waiting for a key, countless calls etc - I was becoming discouraged. One day I drove by another lot, saw 5 Camaro's parked and went in to drool. Salesman comes out - asks if he can help and I sarcastically reply.. You have any keys for these? He says they have two in the parts department. Then he mentions there is also another one around the corner - a white one with the RS package. I lean over.. and fall in love when I see it. Was what I was wanting originally. White. Told him my issue - said t hold the car as I was going to cancel my other order. Did that the next day and went and did the deed. Had the car two days later. That was almost a month ago - and 5,000 KM ago. Yea, I like to drive it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thank you all. The white is so easy to care for - too many black cars and Zaino in my past.
I am going to get some subtle vinyl for it - I have to find the link again, but its a simple stripe on the rise of the hood bump (both sides) that tapers to the front - and what I think is old Copo rear quarter panel stripe. Blue. |

CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.
![]() oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!
