For those that have lost Loved ones..

Signs Miracles and Wonders or just plain weird?

My 22yr old son died in a car accident 3 years ago. We were able to donate his heart and liver to a man that was dying in Mayo clinic. Now each year that man that has my sons heart and liver travel from Maryland to Minnesota to pay their respects at my sons grave and to visit us. This year I was plotting directions for them to make the journey to the cemetary on Google maps. I went to check the last intersection on the street view to check for accuracy. This is what I saw...

That is way too freaky. And some don't believe in god. I don't get them.

On that street view you can rotate the pic 360 degrees. I could see the gas prices, it was from last year. I only go on that road in town one day a year when i purchase a park pass for our lake. Again what are the chances? I felt it was my son giving me a little wave.

I am very sorry for your loss, and yes, I do believe in signs from beyond the grave...my Dad just passed away last Sept.2008...a few days before he died, I asked him to please give me a sign that he was still with me...
He was a VOLUNTEER fireman for 60 yrs for our town and was honored for his 60 yrs of service and was gone 6 months later...
The night he died, when we got home after making all the arrangements, our smoke detector was "chirping" as if it had "low battery power"...
We checked all the smoke detectors in our house...keep in mind, having grown up with a Dad in the fire dept, we have MANY smoke detectors...all the batteries were fine...the chirping stopped...
My son said, "that must have been Grandpa"...I hope it was...it happened on 2 other occasions too...
Also, the day we buried my Dad, when we were at the cemetery for the graveside service with Navy Honors, the fire whistle "blew"...I'd been going to the cemetery for 14 yrs after my Mom died, and in all that time, the fire whistle NEVER had blown until that day...

But find comfort that our loved ones stay with us on some level.

They say you can't get it with you but I'm a firm believer that you can take at least three things with you.

1. Your relationship with God
2. Your relationship with your saved family and friends.
3. And the peace that surpasses all understanding will always be with you up there.

Sorry to hear about your losses ladies.

If I didn't think our loved ones could see and hear and be with us if we need them after they die, I don't know how any of us could go on living without them...
Thank you both for your kind words.............

I was going to ask you about your son in Scotts thread but didn't know if you'd want to discuss it but I hate to hear that. I can't even imagine. Really cool about the map search.

I know that losing a child is one of the most difficult losses to bear. I have a number of friends that have lost children in vehicle accidents. My brother was murdered 36 years ago in a robbery. No parent should have to endure such a loss. You have a wonderful outlook, and you must be a very strong woman. God bless you!!

I'm sorry for your loss as well.

You are so outgoing and have an amazing, positive attitude. Can't help but smile every time I read your posts.

Both of you have my admiration.

Thank you so much for your kind words...I try my best to go on without my parents...it was hard enough to survive losing my Mom 14 yrs ago, but I still had my Dad...when he died last Sept.2008, I could barely breathe, let alone live without him...

But, his last few words to me were: "Be happy, Donna, laughter is the best medicine"...

So that's what I try to do...my Dad was the ultimate joke-teller...he would always have a smile and a joke to share with everyone, even strangers...

I hope I am carrying on his legacy...he was like a "big kid", and when my kids were born, he was the ultimate Grandpa, more excited to do "kid things" with them than I think they were at times..........

He was still body-surfing with them at the beach 3 yrs ago at 80 yrs old and thought he might have cracked a rib...LOL...when a rough wave slammed into him, but would he stop, NOOOOO....

I could go on and on, but again, thank you...I am moved to tears by your kind words and from all the kindness and love I feel from my "forum family" since I signed up...

Being on this forum and driving my Camaro helps to take the "sting" out of my profound grief...:(

I just wish my Dad had lived long enough to see me and my Camaro...he would have LOVED it...

GOD BLESS ALL MY FORUM, GM, AND OSHAWA FRIENDS/"FAMILY"...
