So I had a friend offer to sell me his xbox one for 300 dollars. What are your guys opinions, do it?

Yea, I think so too. Just wanted to know if you guys had any advice on what to look out for on ownership. I keep reading these articles about resolution between an xbox one and ps4 being so different etc. etc. what are your guys opinions

I have no experience with the ps4, so I can't say. although I've never heard that it was night and day difference. more like, you wouldn't be able to tell, unless you had them side by side.

That's fine by me, I just didn't want it to be such a big difference that I would regret my purchase. Any other quirks I should be aware and know of?

i'm still having voice command issues. and ever since I took my xbox power plug out of the power strip/surge protector, and just plugged it into the wall, I haven't run into the issue of the xbox not connecting to the internet. Technically, I was connected to the internet, and Netflix was working, but some of the content wouldn't load. But all good now.

I'm still going to try to recalibrate the Kinect, to maybe fix the voice command issue. it's mostly the "xbox on" command, than I have the biggest problem with. as far as games, I don't play much. lol assassins creed is pretty cool though.

I have both, but use my XBox One more at this moment. I got the PS4 stupidly, thinking it would be able to play all my PS3 games.

Gave my PS3 to my brother, and his kids love it...so I'm ok with it. Now I'm not sure I want to rebuild a PS4 library.

I'm planning on getting an X1 in the next couple of weeks. These threads are making me apprehensive though...

you don't have to use voice commands, if that helps you any. lol

I have both systems, resolution you can only tell side by side. And its not THAT big of a difference. This generation of consoles will be decided on exclusives and software, not hardware

Yea, the kinect stuff doesn't bother me for this exact reason. I probably wouldn't even use the voice commands and stuff like that. I want a console to play games.

What's your opinion so far on both? I'm buying the xbox because I really like forza and want to try titanfall. The ps4 so far doesn't have any games I have to have. I played second son on my cousins ps4 and it was good but nothing to rave about in my opinion. Plus I like more online shooters because I feel like I can play online for a long time and get my money's worth. As opposed to a game with a story where I beat it once and probably never touch it again.
