Hello from Northen Virginia!

Hello from the Northern VA area (right by Tyson's Corner for those familiar with the area). Soon to be owner here. I am picking up the car this Saturday in Pennsylvania. Giving my current car to a family member and one of my dad's friend is head of maintenance at a dealership in PA so my family buys a lot of cars from them and they know us. Also gives me an excuse to show it off to my buddies and get use to the car on roads I know very well.

Dealer picked it up about a week ago so it has been waiting for me. Its a Black 2014 Camaro 2LT with the RS package and the performance exhaust. It was only a few days old when he got it from another dealer so it hasn't been through too much of the cold. Already prioritizing what I wanna do to it (mostly cosmetic stuff).

I have been looking through various posts picking up as much information as I can. I already picked up a bracket from JacFab for my front plate to save my front bumper. I already have the money set aside for winter tires. I have seen a lot of talk about catch cans. They look like they are indeed helpful but how high of a priority should I put them? I will put about 300 miles a month on the car so should it be a high priority or just get it in a couple of months. I may try to put a bit more of that to get the engine broken in faster so I can fully enjoy the car. Thinking a few trips to Skyline Drive will help build up the miles.

Its gonna be a long day and a half.

Edit: I would misspell a word in my title.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Welcome to the obsession. I'm from the DC area, and once lived on the NOVA side, so I'm very familiar with your area. Enjoy the drive from PA (and many more).
