New to Camaro5 forums!
Always checked this site, but finally signed up after the wife and I have decided a 5th gen will be in our garage this year.
That being said, we are NOT to to performance world. Owning several f bodies together, couple cobalt SS's, one SC and one TC(still currently have the turbo one) but we are going to sell it, and get us a another camaro. Pretty stuck on the 2014's, not sure if we want the 2ss, or to get the 1le 1ss, getting them both together means a 44k+ sticker... anyways, I currently have a 98 Camaro that I run in the LSX Real Street class, maybe some of you have seen it, but I will post a video. anyways, I am sure I will become a welcome member here on the forums! thanks Charlie Last edited by BES Stroked; 02-10-2014 at 01:34 PM. |

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.
![]() oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

I'd say it really comes down to what you're going to use the car for as to whether you want 2SS or 1le/1SS. Personally, because mine is a daily driver and is likely never going to see a road course, I'm quite satisfied with my choice to forgo the 1le in order to get a 2SS. That's a sick 4th gen though, holy %^&$.
Welcome to the family. |

I miss having something to mess around with on the street, I also want something I can just get in and drive ANYWHERE and not have a thing to worry about, so that makes me NOT want to get a 1le, cause of the tires. I thought about putting different tires on it, but kinda defeats the purpose in the first place...
never thought it be a hard decision. but after thinking about putting one on order, wow! LOL I think a 2ss/rs, DME, sunroof white with black stripes would do me and the wife just fine. My dad has a 13, 2ss/rs white with orange stripes, 2 tone black and tan interior, DME, and a factory hurst. at 889 miles it has a Tick polluter, stainlessworks headers and catless connection pipes installed. Awesome car, make me fall in love with a 5th gen! Cant wait to get ours!! and thanks for the welcome |

Picked up a 2011 2ss/rs M6 IOM with silver stripes from Richmond VA, pretty sure when I searched for that color combo someone on here used to own it.
anyways, got lucky, car is VERY clean, 11k miles. and it already has ARH headers and a full borla stinger catback with x pipe exhaust. Crazy engouh got it from a Ford dealership, but got it for trade in value. was going to go new, but after looking around so much better to save the money and get this like new used one! Cant wait for the weather to break to get to drive it, I trailered the car home, so only got a short test drive!!!
